Terms of Service
Last updated 4 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Vasil Kirilov when you use ExplainVids. By creating an account you accept them.
Who you are contracting with
Vasil Kirilov, Dimotko Narliiski 14, Bulgaria. Contact: [email protected].
What the service does
You describe a video. We write a script, perform it as narration, animate it, and render an MP4 you can download. Some of that is done by automated systems, including large language models and synthetic voice.
Your account
You need an account, you must be at least 16, and the details you give must be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.
What you own
You own the videos you make, and you may use them commercially. No watermark, no attribution required, no separate licence to buy. To the extent we hold any rights in the output, we assign them to you once the video is paid for.
You keep the rights in whatever you put in — your brief, your bracketed lines, and any website you ask us to read. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to process that material, send it to the processors named in our Privacy Policy, and store the result for you.
We keep the rights in ExplainVids itself — the animation kit, the scene designs, the site and the software.
What you may not do
Do not use ExplainVids to make anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or deceptive — that includes passing a synthetic voice off as a real named person, and impersonating a real business. Do not submit a website you have no right to have read. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, and do not resell it as your own.
We can suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we do so for a serious breach, unused credits are forfeit.
Accuracy — read this one
Scripts are written by an automated system. It can be wrong. It is instructed never to invent statistics, but you are responsible for checking every factual claim in a video before you publish it. We are not liable for a claim you published that turned out to be untrue.
Paying
Prices are in euro and are shown on the pricing page. Payment is taken by Stripe. VAT is added or included as the law requires for where you are.
Videos are bought individually or in packs of credits. A credit is spent when you generate a video, not when you open the editor. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account — the plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds and your right to cancel
You can return any purchase — a pack, a single video, or a Pro subscription payment — within 14 days of paying for it, for any reason, including one where the video has already been generated. Email [email protected] and we will refund it. This is the withdrawal right EU law gives you for digital content; we do not ask you to waive it.
If a render fails, that video is not charged for. A credit consumed by a failed render is returned to your balance automatically. Unused credits and unstarted subscription periods are refundable on request at any time, not only within the 14 days. If something else goes wrong, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up but we do not promise it. It depends on third parties — model providers, a voice provider, a render platform — and any of them can have a bad day. There is no uptime guarantee.
Keep your own copy of anything you care about. We store your videos as a convenience, not as a backup service.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect loss.
Changes and endings
We may change these terms; if a change matters we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service means you accept it. You can close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, liability, and the law that applies — do.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
